Early Intervention EMDR Protocol

ASSYST is an Early Trauma Intervention Treatment that aims to have trauma survivors decrease the severity of their distressing symptoms and aims to allow the person to regain healthy functioning after a traumatic event.

A person experiencing any one or multiple of the following symptoms may benefit from the ASSYST protocol;

  • Uncomfortable or intense body sensations

  • Flashbacks

  • Reminders of the trauma

  • Sensory overload

  • Extreme emotional reposes
