Christina Faedo RPC-C, RTCc

Founder & Clinical Director

Christina is a Registered Professional Counsellor Candidate (RPC-C) with the Canadian Professional Counselling Association (#4321), a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor Candidate (RTCc) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists (#2976) and a registered member of the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists. She has been in the world of first responders since 2007. She spent over 14 years as a police dispatcher for multiple municipalities in the lower mainland and over ten volunteering & working within police-based victim services. In 2019 she was burnt out and exhausted from the job she once found fun and exciting. She took the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) course at the JIBC and found a spark there to help others outside the realm of dispatching. She wanted to support those she saw struggling with their mental health and took a chance in 2020 by going back to school for counselling. Hoping to be able to further support both first responders, dispatchers as well as victims of crime and trauma has focused her training on modalities that help clients work through all types of trauma. Christina utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotions Focused Therapy and she frames her work from a Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed lens.

VIRTUAL THERAPY

Charlette Hendricks

Associate Counsellor

For as long as I can remember I have always been drawn to helping and being of service to others and our animal companions. I am a Stepping Stones IFS-informed therapist and hold my Level II Reiki practitioner certification. I was employed in the healthcare sector for over a decade where she worked as a Nursing Unit Clerk in many areas. I was particularly drawn to the healthcare field because of a severe and rare health issue I had experienced when I was younger. Over time I found my life was leading towards a career in counselling. I believe healing can come in many different forms and I aim to help clients see that light can be found beyond whatever darkness they are currently experiencing.

I aim to provide compassion and warmth to all interactions by honoring the human spirit and each individual’s unique life story. This space allows clients the opportunity to share the deepest whisperings of their hearts.

Through employing a variety of integrative and eclectic approaches, I utilize tools and techniques that allow her to meet each client where they are presently at. I lean into internal family systems, narrative therapy, person-centered, solution-focused, emotions focused and strengths-based modalities to help a variety of individuals such as teens and adults.

VIRTUAL COUNSELLING

Oksana Samokhvalova, RTCc

Counsellor

Welcome! My name is Oksana Samokhvalova and I am a RTC c (Registered Therapeutic Counsellor Candidate) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists, membership #3390. I work with clients from various cultural, religious and social backgrounds. I welcome individuals of all ages, stages and orientations. Regardless of their age, or background, my goal is to help clients recognize their inner strength, trust their instincts and develop new ways of managing troubles as they arise.

As each individual has different strengths and needs, therapy should reflect that. I integrate different therapeutic approaches to create something that works for you. Some of the theories I draw from include Cognitive (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness and Trauma Informed practice among others.

Through encouragement and empowerment, I believe pain, distress and conflict can improve or resolve and new possibilities and hope can emerge.  The journey of self-discovery, self-improvement and healing can occur in a safe, respectful, nurturing, and collaborative environment.  Together we can establish and implement a therapeutic plan that can help guide you towards creating healing.
